Good on 'em.
We reported a few months ago about the fact that Philip Green (he of the Arcadia ownership - yes that means Topshop, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Dorothy Perkins amongst a few) has been taking advantage of a tax loophole which means he doesn't pay taxes on most of the earnings and profits from Topshop. Well, some people are very unhappy about that.
Protestors blocked the doorways today and caused the store to close for the day. Which has more then likely cost Green a fair bit. Mind you, he does have a few other stores to rely on!
The protestors also hit Vodaphone, Boots and a few other high street stores in protest over large companies and their tax avoidance.
Sorry but, Green - you asked for it.
